Who was
Hans-Börje?

Hans-Börje was born in Uppsala in the late 1940’s and grew up in Tunabackar and Eriksberg. In the late 1960’s he met his future wife, Inger, and lived in Norby and in the summer paradise Björk vid Mälaren, which provided space for recreation and family life.

He has lived in Uppsala faithfully with the exception of a few years articling in Gällivare after completing his law degree. Hans-Börje started a successful career as a lawyer at Föreningsbanken in Västerås. He returned to Uppsala permanently as soon as a position became available with the company and eventually left to pursue different management positions in the area.

Hans-Börje had a profound interest in sports both as an athlete and supporter of his favorite Swedish football team, IK Sirius. In his younger years, he played football, bandy and practiced sailing. He later enjoyed golf and ice skating. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Hans-Börje, knew that he appreciated and personified the values of sportsmanship, generosity and helpfulness. These traits came second only to his lovely sense of humour.
